Grey Matter: I Lie

A series on the subject of weather with emphasis often placed on the impact it can have on mental health.

‘I Lie’ is the oppose of Autumn and Winter

I lie
As clouds break
Rain upon pane
I lie
In bed
Duvet over head
Warm, cosy, snug
Gone is the urge
For brown bread
Pressure gives
Hammering wet
Gusts pushing water
As spitting stones
A deluge of regret
For what I said
Now is the calm
Eye of storm
A moment of respite
To revel in it all
Bar the lie when I called
Lovers of winter
