The last few days have seen two bands from UK’s punk scene drop videos so scorching hot they more than make-up for the utterly dismal summer.
London’s GLU has released ‘SLEEP JEANS’, a grunge-fest from Heaven that carries a sprinkle of stoner and doom across its utterly dreamy production. It’s the first single from upcoming debut album THESE ROTTING FLOWERS. At the time of posting no precise release date has been confirmed beyond it being 2024.
While Bristol’s Split Dogs has unleashed ‘Monster Truck’, a rip-roaring boogie fest of punk that brims with fresh energy and a fair helping of old-school rock in the raucous vein of AC/DC and laid-back riffs of Status Quo. Also the first single from a new album, though in this case the band’s second Here To Destroy which is set for release November 28th 2024.
