Jilted John

John’s feeling jilted; but is he right or by the sword of his own hand—so to speak—wrong? Read the poem to decide . . .

With thanks to  Max Kleinen for use of the header image.

Is that a gun
In your pocket
Or are you pleased
To see me
?
Asked John
The absent-minded
Bank teller
A massive big smile
On his face
Having forgotten yet again
That the branch
He worked in
Was prone
To armed robbery

Thanks for reading 🙂
