Bozos’ Devil’s Dandruff EP Reviewed

Devil’s Dandruff bursts into life with taught ball of high octane audio ‘In the Pit’. Bozos’ ability to revel in the straightforward then add neat breakdowns and slick solos without taking any of the nuances too far is ever present throughout the punchy hardcore romp.

Second and title track ‘Devil’s Dandruff’ takes things up a notch from the off as Bozos’ deep rock ‘n’ roll roots combine perfectly with their contemporary metal influences to capture the spirit of Johnny Burnette’s ‘Tear It Up’ while at points the vocals are in line with the glorious tones of Darkthrone’s Nocturno Culto.

‘Hold Back the Bush’ is a love song Bozos’ style. Tongue in check? Definitely tongue in something.

Bozos left to right: Jack Venn; Fabio Scanu; James Wellington

‘Bittersweet’ prowls with punk AF attitude and really showcases the quality production found across the four tracks that combines the vocals and music perfectly while leaving a real feeling of space between the sound that captures the fierce energy Bozos always unleash live.

An old adage says to always leave the audience wanting more. Bozos is the modern example—from length of solos; to tracks; to entire EPs—in bounds.
