not perfect like me

why would they do that?
I have no idea
absolutely none
and I‘d prefer leave it there
catching that glare
a reason there must have been
not every love or every life
can turn out to be
not very nice
again and
again and
again
stupid, I know
perhaps it was
an erroneous moment of anger
maybe the hot caustic grip
found with anxiety
no reason or rhyme really
still I can’t let them be
painted as
something of the night by Fuseli
a worthy nemesis
mortal enemy
again and
again and
again
I mean
what if it was me
perpetual perpetrator of misdeeds perceived
infinite times over
