Slain by Summer. Part 2 of 3.
Here you are again
Dark cloud on a mostly
Sunny horizon
Heralding the impending arrival
Of brethren
Who’ll colour entire sky
With wretched poison
From where it will drip
Into dismal disposition
Despite the season supposedly being
Respite from depression
The thrust of the sword is
Anxiety driven
Its edge a precipice
Far from reason
Highly agitated almost mania, then defeating realisation before onto some sort of stab at articulate composure. This, the middle part of that journey, Wind of the Willows being the beginning and what is to come the end (of the latest episode at least). Perhaps it could well be considered as a cruise: the three stages embarking, sailing and then disembarking. Except it would be an underprivileged analogy indeed; for while verbatim that getting on a cruise ship is more than a hassle and a half, it pales in compare with the first stage it is intended to characterise here. Though it would allow me to sign off with, Good Luck to the M.S. Mental Health and All Those Who Sail upon It. Every cloud and all that; except again: this heads things full steam ahead into the choppy waters of real and literal, for the very thing in question is the presence of dark clouds in the sky that have anything but a bloody silver lining, so the whole cruise ship thing is totally out then.
With thanks to J.K.S. for use of the header/backing image.
Thanks for reading 🙂
