forever after

Poetry without comment.

With thanks to D. D. Buck^ for use of the header image (licensing).

what happened
once one thing
warm
wonderful
close
then completely another
cold
dark
. . . desolate
flat blank expanse of nothing
yet in essence
no change
no apparent reason
so arising
somewhere from within
hidden
no choice then
surf the atrocious wave
or fall into sinister water
kiss goodbye to love
forever after

Thanks for reading 🙂
